I have a 96gt and wanted to upgrade to a cd player
i would like to keep the car original but i have to have a cd player that plays burnt cds

does any stock cd from the mustang play these types of cds if so what year model

If you are talking about the stock ford cd player it will not play mp3 but it will play cd-r.

I had a stock cd player in my 2000 ford mustang and it would play anything, cd-r's, cd-rws, mp3s burned on either type of these disks. It worked fine in my car when I had the stock stereo in it.

yep, my 95 GT plays CD-R. I never tried MP3's but I highly doubt that they would work on it.
