Default keyless entry

Hello everyone,

I am new here and recently bought a 2002 mustang. I bought the car from the dealer and the previous owner did not give the dealer the keyless remote controls. Is there a cheap way that I can get remotes. Do I have to install a whole new system or can I just buy the remotes and program them to my car.

Thank You
Michelle

You can check ebay for them. Or if anyone knows if the new ones from the 04/05 line will work I have some new that I found in a container at work brand new with the brain still in the package. I know the system was to be OEM installed into a P221 Ford truck (F150s I think). If they will work I will sell them to you, just make me an offer. I do not know how to program them though.

We do not make the Keyless entry systems. We make the Adjustable Pedals Systems and some one messed up and placed it in our returnable containers!

i think in your owners manual it tells you how to reprogram the keyless entry remotes, its a smiple process, but takes time if u do it wrong. and u can buy the remotes from ebay or the dealer for abuot $20 each i belive

good luck

EDIT: u probebly wanna look for the P/N 2s4t-15k601-aa, which is the same modle number i have on the back of my 2002 mustang remote, will defenitly work, if u need to, send me a pm, and i'll look through my owners manual and tell you how to do it

The question about the 04/05 model's remotes - my wife's 05 Explorer uses the same transmitter as my 03 Mustang.

Just buy yourself a control from ebay maybe like 20 buxs and then programm it yourself, cuz if you go to the dealership to get it programmed it will cost you like 30 bux thats what they were going to charge me, to programm it is very easy

1. Put the key in the ignition
2. Switch the key on/of 8 times the door lock will lock confirming programming mode
3. Press the lock or unlock pad in the control
YOU DONE
