Default to total rewire or not

HEy folks, I am getting ready to conquer the mach 460 stereo in my 2000 vert. I am going to be running a 5 channel and monoblock amp to 5.25 components. After researching, it almost sounds easier to use the factory power adapter (which I had in my 97 mark Viii) and rewire everything at the same time. should i rewire or try to find the adapters??? P.S this system is not as bad as the jbl in the Mark VIII
