is this unit problem free now? I have read that people were having electrical issues in their dash and other annoyances.
I don't know if the company has updated the units - but my unit still causes my blinkers to do funny things and get a "fuel error" once in a while. I sure wish they would look into the problem!!
thank you so much for putting your guide online again!
To all PIE users: to know if you have the latest chip from PIE installed in your FRD04, you can open it and the ship should say "B12". Anything less than B12 (B11, B10, etc...) is an older chip/firmware.
You can contact PIE and they will send you a new chip for $2 !
Would this work with other MP3 players or is it only for ipods? From the looks of the pics it feeds off the earbud outputs so I assume a Sansa player would work.
This will work with ANYTHING with a standard 1/8th headphone jack, so you'll have no trouble at all!
Have fun!
Joe
