no, you would rather over power your subs then under power. If you under power your subs with a low end amp that will blow then faster then over powering them. You want to look at your peak RMS on the subs, in your case 500W. Now you should look at an Amp that can produce 500W in a bridged setup. Those subs can handle alot of power, so you should look at getting a Pheonix Gold Amp to go with them, may cost more, but you wont be replacing them in a few months.
