Question Help! New cd player for my 2000 Mustang but no sound

I just bought a new cd player for my 2000 mustang, but i cant seem to get the sound to work. as far as i know the wires are correct and no fuses were blown in the process. i bought a wiring harnes for it but still had to do some manual wiring on it. it powers on and reads the cd or radio station but i hear nothing. any advice????

Do you have the mach 460 system first off?

I have a 98 stang and I don't have it. Anyway what I did was when I installed the cd player I put a 4 channel amp in the trunk so I ended up running all new wires to all the speakers. You can do that with a cd player too if youd like to avoid the hassle of adapting the stock wiring to your player, plus if you install new wiring, you can take all the stock amps out, free up alot of room, and when you install the new wiring it will be much better quality wire then the stock wires so that if you ever wanted to put in a 4 channel amp to power your speakers, the wiring will be ready to handle the power.

Cool finally working

sweet, i finally got it working. i went and bought a new wiring harness and rewired everything to the cd player, and come to find out... there was no cord to plug in the blue wire on the last harness. the book lables the blue wire as some kind of antina, but after installing the new harness i got it working. thanks for the advice.
