Question radio "ticking, clicking buzzing"

about a month ago i had a new head unit installed in my 99 mustang with new polk speakers in the doors and rear deck.. no subs no amp...

i noticed about a week ago my radio has a clicking buzz or ticking sound every 30-40 seconds... i turned off my sirius radio just had the static of 88.1fm and it did it then i turned the channel to a local station and did it as well... unpulled the sirius radio and it still continued...

anyone know what might be causing this?

It sounds like you have a bad ground. Did you install it yourself to know where it was grounded? Is it coming from one side? If so, check the speaker ground on that side. Does the light on the head unit dim when it clicks? It could be the accessory wiring. Another thing to check, and this is far out there, but make sure your battery terminals are fully cleaned and tight. I had this happen once on a previous car. It was not making 100% contact, and was pulling voltage off the alternator to make it click instead of running off the battery.

The double-din stereo is the same as the old ones, just takes up more space. Hey, my Mom lives in Lancaster.....
