Default anti theft system problems

my alarm system has been acting funny on me lately, when i press twice on the remote to lock the doors and hear the beep to make sure its lcoked, it beeps fast twice...i know this means one of the doors or trunk are not properly closed, but its not the case, everything is locked and closed properly, it will beep twice , and if i press again it sometimes goes crazy and beeps like 3 or 4 times fast, i open all the doors and close them hard and try again, beeps twice, then i do the same and its fine, one beep. it will do it every time when i first try to activate the system, and after a few tries its fine. how do i check if something is messed with the alarm system? what could make it think a door is not fully closed when it is?

There's a switch on the trunk and hood you know.... Both of my cars have the factory anti-theft and one time I jacked one up to try out a jack (in the Orielly's parking lot) and it went off. Maybe it's not a door.

I would try to find out what switch has the issue (if indeed that's all it is) by removing it and taping the switch down et cetera (stuff like that).

I am not able to pinpoint the locations BUT I see them every time the hood and trunk ore open. So they must be right out there in an obvious place. They are on a bracket and have a nice little rubber boot over the detent switch.

oh about the alarm going off.. I was going to suggest that it may have a default warning to you with the 2 beeps (I don't know what those mean) because the other sensors may have and issue and not JUST the doors. I got a phone call in the middle of writing that post!

There is also the parameter sensor inside and the inclination sensor (the jack story).

hey man, i looked at those sensors at the rear and front, now i understand what you were talking about, so i pressed the back and locked the car and it was fine, but when i pressed on the front one under the hood it did seem to still beep twice , so i hope thats all it was...a bad sensor...going to the dealer's to check it out tomorrow morning. thanks

yes all anti theft have 3 places were they put sensors most of the time. There always going to be on the doors this show if the door is shut that gives a ground back to the anti theft and subroof and trunk. These sensors are there for your protection and if they mess up it looks like something with the anti theft is bad. when you jacked up the car you might have bump the sensor in the trunk, theres one on the lock incase anybody trys to jack it in and open it goes off. so thats why it went off. But yea getting it checked out would be good ill just buy a sensor.

This same exact thing is happening to me. It used to work fine before I took it to a body shop for some body work on the passenger door and hood. When I went to lock it it started doing the 2 beeps and the turn signals didn't flash. any ideas what it could be?
