Default 1995 Mach 460 amp replacement
I want to upgrade the amp and speakers on the Mach 460 sound system. The speakers I can do w/ no problem, but the amp is the problem, Where is it located and is it upgradable?

2.3L N/A Automatic. Finally Running! Black and Blue "Speed" seat covers. CD Deck to be installed soon. Putting rear seat back in soon.
Future addons: New interior, paint flat black. 2.3L Turbo swap.

I believe there are two amps, one under each speaker in the rear.

yeah i was in my trunk today messing with stuff, and i noticed that. but i wanna have the nice boom, but louder then the stock mach 460. I can fabricate the back 2 speaker holes to hold 2 10 JL audios or solo barraks. I want to upgrade the amp(s) w/ having to redo the wiring.

I wanna keep my truck space or maybe 85-90% of it anyways is what im trying to say and still have the nice bass.

Stonecold is right,there are 2 amps built in to the rear deck speaker enclosure-and I think there's also one mounted on the transmission hump behind the panel where the head units mount...I replaced my standard stereo with a mach 460 and had to plug the head units into something that I thought was an amp,then the harness went from there to the back of the car
