Default Aftermarket Stereo Install

I have a 93 GT that I recently bought from a friend. It has stock radio and aftermarket speakers with wiring harness wired to stock wires. I want to put my own HU and amp. I noticed when I removed the passenger seat that there was amp connected to the stock radio. If im going to put my own amp and HU can I remove the stock amp.

Not only can it be done, but I highly recommend it! Get everything out of there then go ahead and put your own stuff in. You will only be using 3 wires from the factory harness in the dash. 12 volts "key on" power, 12 volts "constant" power, and ground. Everythng else you will run yourself. Not a hard job in a 93.

the most tedious part will be running the wires, that about it. You forgot the RCA connectors to Stork
