Default 2006 Mustang Stereo Harness Wires, what colors mean what?

I took all the parts out, and ready to install new stereo, but i'm having hard time to tell which wire is which. Could some one let me know the stereo Mustang 06 wiring harness, I really appreciated.

Thats the aftermarket harness Razor. I think he's asking about the factory harness...
12 volts constant= light green/purple
12 volts switched= gray/yellow
ground= black/orange
LF speaker + = orange/ light green
LF speaker - = light blue/white
RF speaker + = white/light green
RF speaker - = darkgreen/orange
LR speaker + = gray/light blue
LR speaker - = tan/yellow
RR speaker + = orange/red
RR speaker - = brown/pink

hope this helps.

Not that it matters much, but why would you need to know the color code for the factory wires if you were installing and AF stereo? Why not just get a wiring harness and be done with it? It's desigend for that exact purpose. Just my .02.

I agree with you. A harness is much easier, keeps the pesky dealership from voiding any warranties, is much cleaner, etc,etc. At the same time, It depends on what is being done. If you are replacing more than just the head unit, like upgrading the junk factory speakers, then knowing which is + or - in the door is a good thing. Also, if the factory system is being completely pulled to make way for a full custom system, then only 3 wires at the dash are needed. The rest will be ran by the installer. Hard to justify the $15-$30 to purchase a harness just for 3 wires when they can be tapped into in less than 2 minutes without cutting. So it just depends.

75% of people replacing the factory HU are just getting a CD player, and maybe a sub and amp, nothing major. Anyone doing major custom stereo work either knows whats going on from the get go, or has alot of money.

This is my first time replacing new stereo. My brother just installed new stereo for his car, so i asked him to help with mine. After he cut the wire, then we found my car wire coding wasn't match with the new stereo wire coding, and we also found out that i should get the 'wiring harness'. .... but it already too late, my brother already cut car stereo wire
