I have NOT tried it but others say it works great.
Whatever you do, don't buy the DLO FM adapter.
I have one for my Zen Vision M and it sucks big time.

I just took my 2004 GT with the Mach 1000 audio system to Al & Ed's Auto Sound in LA and they installed a PIE brand adapter and run the iPod through the "SAT" button on the system. It both runs the audio and it charges the iPod. They were able to run the cable under the center councole and out through the storage box under the center arm rest so I can hide the iPod when parked.

You need to find a seriously technical installer, as i went to Best Buy first and they said i could only do the FM transmitter with my car. Even the first Al & Ed's said the same until I went to another location. Clearly WHO you talk to will influence what they think is possible. If I can find the receipt with the PIE part number I will post it.
