i was told 6x8 by the dude at best buy, i havent changed them out yet just have a couple competition subs in the trunk with a 1600rms amp. all the websites say that u can put either 5x7 or 6x8 in the same location. sonicelectronix.com has them listed as 6x8 thay also have some pretty good deals with 1 year warrenty (also have lots of name brands JL audio, infinity

, pheonix gold). check out caraudiodeals.com they're usually cheaper (mostly off brands

besides audiobahn and kicker) but u have to pay extra for warrenty. if ur looking to upgrade.

Yes, they are 6x8's, but 5x7's fit too......

so would the sound be better, or no change?

NO not a typo. audiobahn a16000v mono amp 1600 rms at 2 ohms

runnin 2 10" aw1008t 's (1000 rms each MONSTERS) with pioneer premier deh-p690ub deck (has some cool graphics) this is LOUD

, sound quality is OK but there made for SPL

yes u can use same head unit and get a 4 channel amp with line level inputs (for stock stereos) to push ur new speakers, in my girls accord i put in all alpine speakers( 6.5's up front 6x9's rear 2 12" subs) and kenwood deck and 2 amps (mono 900rms for subs and 4 channel 80rms x4 for speakers). before we put in 4 ch amp the aftermarket speakers sounded way better then stock but with the amp it sounds hella loud and crisp, great bass out the 6x9's. on the plus side a 4 ch w/aftermaket speakers weighs a lot less then a couple subs
