I have a 96 4.6L that has been wrecked. I want to strip the car for parts but first want to test run the engine before I take it out. I have a key that will turn the ignition switch but it has no chip. When I start the engine it starts but cuts out immediately.

Is there any way I can hot wire or rewire the system to test run the engine? Any help will be appreciated.

hmm not sure, you can get one at ford if you want for about $30 bucks and get it programmed for another $30
