How about CAIs? Are there any CAIs that work with the CDC Shaker setup, from pictures it looks like it uses the factory air box.
I realize the CDC Shaker is pretty much just for looks, but if that's the case, why even run the tubing from it to the airbox? It seems like alot of effort for nothing. I'm definitely sold on the look, but I'd love to be able to tell my wallet that it's got some sort of function.
Well it does bring more air to the air filter but I have never noticed any sort of gain. As far as the CAIs you can still use the shaker. I havent had mine hooked up to my CAI yet,but it can be done. If I remember right there were a few people on here who had some really nice set ups with their CAI and shaker

Nice pics Stl. Is the fitting with MUSTANG on it an additional piece? I noticed it was missing from the first few pictures. Also, is this the same set up as the Parnelli Jones edition?

Thanks... I cut the shroud off the Shaker to help cut down on heat and make it easier to remove/install. I added weather stripping to ensure a good seal with the hood.
I also trimmed down the shroud the Shaker comes mounted on, mainly to keep from retaining heat as stlwagon also had. I also didn't like the looks of all the plastic, prefer the old school appearance.
First pic is with the original shroud & next is the trimmed one. I've got the JLT2 CAI & it was as easy to duct into it as was with the factory airbox.

IMO It looks far more aggressive (& way less cheesy) cut down. Plus now I can access my plugs and injectors
