I just bought a used 2000 Mustang. The seller said it had a factory alarm and showed me a horn bolted to the fire wall on the drivers side that has a sticker on it that says "Factory Security Ford Siren". He lost the remotes so I could not test it. The owners manual does not mention a factory alarm. Here are my questions:

Is this really a factory alarm?
If it is not a factory alarm, what is it?
If it is a factory installed alarm, how do I program it?

you can order replacement remotes off e bay cheap. my 01 has an alarm that was on it when I bought it sound exactly like you described yours. I ordered a remote from ebay and you program it yourself.directions come with it its very simple. you just hold the remote in your hand and turn the ignition key on and like six times repetitively.and it sends a signal to the remote and thats it
