Default Can you replace a 6x8 speaker with a 5x7 speaker? 1996 Mustang

I need my front door speakers for my 96 mustang, I wanted to know if most 5x7 will fit in the hole?

Yes it will fit. Most 5x7's come with mounting holes to match up with Ford's odd choice on the 6x8. No, the hole won't be too big.

yea it doesn't matter what size of the speaker. it will come with the proper equipment to mount it in the door. it should be just fine.
