Default 2000 mustang How do you program alarm remote

My daughters 1st car of course I get the problems . Has one remote and the previous owner gave her one unprogramed new. well she lost the first one within 2 days. Please Help! How do you program alarm remote?

If memory serves me correctly, try this. Put the key in the igition and turn it to the "on" position without starting the car, then back off. Do this eight times, real fast and the door locks will cycle. Then push any button on the remote and it SHOULD be programmed.

Thank you very much, you are 100% correct after asking here found out i could download manuel from ford just found it in there
