Default Quiet stereo and sub popping shaker 1000, 2006 Mustang GT

I have the shaker 1000 system in my 06 gt. Today, as i left work i was driving down the road and noticed i couldnt hear my stereo. I turned the volume WAY up and i could hear it. It didnt sound bad or like i had blown speakers, but it was quiet. i get home and turn off my car, and i hear a boom...boom.........boom. it was my sub's hitting in my trunk. and my car is off. if i turn my radio on, it will be loud (normal) for a split second, then revert to this quiet state. i know nothing about audio set ups. is this a short of some sort? if so, where do i go to get it looked at and fixed? also how much could this cost? i dont want to walk into a shop and say, its broke, fix it, cause then i could get taken to the cleaners. we did have a lot of rain and wind last night, so water might have some how gotten into my trunk and onto my subs...

everything is completely stock. i took my sub's out today and opened up the box. no moisture anywhere. and didnt look to be anything wrong. i plugged it all back in, and it worked like it always has. not sure what the problem is or was.

This exact same thing just started happening to me this week!

I was washing her on Mon. and heard sounds coming from the trunk which turned out to be the subs popping while the engine was off. I turned everything on, then off and it kept happening. Then I unplugged my cell phone charger and it seemed to stop.

However, when I got back in and started it up again there was a noticeable "pop" from the sub, which kept happening every couple minutes or so.

Then I'm driving to work on Wed. and the volume on the radio dies. I tried a couple stations and got the same result. After I turned it up higher it worked fine, then it started getting much louder, then softer, then louder, etc.

I'm planning to take her in to the dealer next week but I'd like to know if anyone else is having this issue too.

FYI, I just found this thread on google so my profile on this forum isn't updated but I have an '06 GT Premium with about 20k miles on her.

It sounds like a bad ground somewhere. That or there is something faulty even though it's new(er) and factory.
