Default Premium Sound System

I need some help, I'm not too familiar with this. I'm replacing the factory cassette deck & seperate CD player with a Kenwood unit. I didn't realize I had a "premium" sound system, but apparently I do. There is a factory amp behind the console area. The wiring kit says I can use the amp or bypass the amp, but I don't know which I should do. And if I bypass it, I don't know how to get to the plugs, you can't even get your hands down there hardly.

Can anyone offer some guidance or assistance?

if you reuse the amp, just use the blue/white wire which is the amp turn on wire. hook that up to the blue/white amp turn on wire from the new radio and youll be fine.

Unless you are going to install a big amp, Id just use the factory one. Why let it set there? If you arent replacing the speakers too, might as well send them the power.
I think there are 2 blue wires on the harness, just look closly at them ......... n/m that was on my Sony

I got it figured out, the connectors on the back did not look the ones it was supposed to mate with in my re-wire kit, but after getting out the haynes manual and checking the wire colors I realized I did have exactly what I needed.

I skipped the factory amp, the new Kenwood puts out 200 watts, but the factory amp is 80 watts. I tried it both ways, and the sound is definitely louder & cleaner when I bypass the factory amp.

Thanks guys!
