Default 2003 GT with Stock Mach Audio System: Buzz/Whine Solutions

Hello.

I have had an intermittent whine in my Stock Mach Audio system in my 2003 Mustang GT. This has been going on for the better part of a year, and it's more of an annoyance than anything else. I'd like to get it fixed however.

Details:

The whine does change pitch depending on RPM, and it seems to come from all speakers, except the tweeters. The whine isn't there when the engine is off. So probably a ground somewhere right?

I have talked to a few Car Audio places, and they haven't offered too much assistance other than replacing the Stock Head Unit, and bypassing the stock Amps and wiring the speakers direct to the new headunit. The last place wants about 350 bucks in labor + parts to do that.

I'm not a car audio guy, and I don't need some kind of bumping system, so I wouldn't be too disapointed if I lost some of the goodness that comes along with the Mach system, I listen to AM radio most of the time anyways. LOL. I'm happy with the stock system, I just want this buzz to go away.

you are getting what I call engine feedback, you may want to check your ground wires. You can also add a inline filter to your speakers but that can get costly, and you get what you pay for
