Default 86 12V constant question

Do I have to run a wire straight from the battery or is there somewhere in the car I can hook up my 12V constant for my new radio? Thanks.

There should already be a wire there for your existing radio. According to this diagram, the constant wire is the Light Green/Yellow wire (for your yellow memory wire). Then there is a Yellow/Black wire which will connect to the power (red) wire of your new radio. I installed a Sony radio awhile back and did not have to run any additional wires. You can check the wires with a voltmeter to be sure. Hope this helps.

Awesome, thanks. I found the 12v constant and now everything works great. When I had the old headunit out there were some connections that were left un pluged or cut. Does anyone know what they go to?

The middle picture shows the power wires for the radio (power, memory, dimmer). I have no idea on the other two connectors, I don't recall seeing them in my car.
