Hey folks,
Well I had a number of projects lined up but all of them have hit some snags that are going to delay them, so I've set my sights on tackling my aging sound system in my 2007 GT. I'm planning on replacing both of the door speakers, and the rear shelf speakers, along with the head unit. I REALLY hate going into the doors, so I want to do things right and all at once.
With the door speaker installs, I want to setup the doors right with some dynamat (or whatever seems best). What should I do? What products and setup should I go with? (Strictly talking sound-deadening/anti-vibration, etc...I already have speakers.)
What's the best way to do this? There's the outside wall of the door, the metal interior-facing frame part of the door (that the speakers and controls mount to) and then the trim panel. Should I do something for all three surfaces/layers?
I know there's guides and stuff out on the web, but I wanted some advice specific to our cars, you know?
