I bet that with some bolt on's and maby a bigger turbo you could have 700-800 HP! After reading your article I checked out the ford Australia websight and it was pretty cool. Ford has v8's in just about all of their cars with 4 or cars having over 300 hp. You all must not have as strict of emsissions standards as we do. Also gas must be cheep. How much is a gallon of 93 octane where you live? |
Our emission standards are almost as high as yours, hence GM is exporting the GTO to the US. The Aussie Ford engine which is a Canadian/Australian built product is being looked at by Ford America as we speak. They are also looking at some of the Aussie Utes too !
Ford America has been looking at the Aussie GT as a possible limited 4 door Mustang in an effort to capture the "Family" market ! Who knows if and when it will happen....

It is less expensive where I live at $1.55 a gallon for 93. The only thing I can think of is that yall must like to hall ASS! what are average speed limits there; in town and interstate(highway), and how fast do you usually go. |
We have some of the best speed devices in the world here used by the Cops. Hence I've lost my licence twice... Our speed limits are 110 Kms of the freeway. As for petrol, it is quite expensive here, but thats just part of the cost of driving V8's !
