Default Where to get a SN95 converted in QLD ???

I have asked around and so far have come up with nothing !

The closest is Mustang Australia who are in Sydney, NSW. I was told that a Corvette conversion place in QLD did do Mustangs but I haven't been able to track them down yet.....

Anyone else know anyone ???

Na, oz98Cobra is comming back home to Oz and he is bringing his car too. As he lives in Brisbane, and he wanted to know if anyone converts them there. I don't know anyone there, so I was just asking around. I know people in Melbourne and Sydney, but none in Brisbane

Is it a legal thing or something ? I mean do you HAVE to have the wheel on the wrong side?

Yes, you have too ! Unless the car is classed as a historic. I belive it has to be over 23 or 30 years old. Then you can drive it left hand drive.

Thanks for all the help.

I sent an email to Corvette Queensland and I am waitng to hear back.

I think I might have to bite the bullet and send the car to Cross Over in Melbourne to get it converted.

Cheers.

I was looking at a 1995 Cobra on Sunday and it was converted in QLD. I read the comliance plate but forgot the name of the company... Its OK. I know who's car it is. I'll ask ! But seems there are new compliance rules now, I doubt they will have a licence to convert them anymore !

No worries. Thanks for all your help.

I have decided that it would be best to send the car to Crossover in Melbourne anyway.

I received my import approval documnts today, so everything is looking good to go.

This is to all the SN95 Converted Mustang Owners.

Can anyone tell me if the same Instrument Cluster Bezel is used when converting to RHD. I currently have two guages in my bezel and want to know if I need to move them before I get the car converted. If anyone has a photo of the Instrument Cluster after the conversion it would be much appreciated.

Also if the conversion is a mirror image does that mean that the wiper and indicator arms on the sterring column are swapped as well.

Thanks.

The instrument cluster is retained. I'm not sure if they are allowed to keep the speedo in MPH or if you have to swap to a KMS ??? The black cover or bezel around the cluster that also houses the headlight switch in it has to be re-made. The headlight switch will now be on the right ! Here is a photo of my conversion. If you like I can take a close up of my dash for you ?? (I have my Autometer guages mounted in my clock... because the pillar or bizel pod's are on the wrong side !!!)

Wiper's are swapped to work the correct way. Indicator arm is still on the left. Ignition key stays on the right.
