If you want one, you can get a nice Falcon for about $3-6k plus 2k shipping, Aussie prices so thats 20% cheaper for you. Thats with a 351w, 4 spd and GT kit. An original GT like a Phase II or GTHO Phase III will cost you a lot more.

Thats a factory one ! Ford Australia used a company called Tickford to convert the Mustangs to right hand drive. They added a few modifications of their own like those stupid fog lights. They only inported them for 1 year to compete with the Holden Monaro (now your GTO) untill the new Aussie FPV line up was released.

Mmmmmm... Tickford... Damn, I need to become a Grey Market importer. I know I could sell those Aussie Falcons in an instant over here.
I'd jump on that deal in an instant, unfortunately I think customs would snatch those cars up. I've checked into it, it takes quite a bit of cash to get a car approved for road worthyness if it has never been imported into America before
I'd especially love to have the new FPV GT-P. Mmmmmm... Boss 290.....

A 1970's GT is not really that much trouble to get on the road in the US. I know a few people that have done it. A 2003 GT-P would be way too much trouble.
Rumor is that the Aussie GT-P ute is going to be released in the US in the next few years ???
