G'day guys Iam new to the forums and looking for some advice. Iam an Aussie living in Canada for last five years and back in 01 purchased my dream car a 01 GT Mustang Bullitt. I plan on moving back to oz later in 05 and was wondering about possibility of briniging my car home with me?? but I have no idea about feasability of converting to right hand drive and what would be required or if its even worth while 'cost wise'????
Any advice or links to companies doing steering conversions just so I try and investigate if its worth the hassle... I love my stang but the cost will be the real decider for me I guess
look forward to hearing from you
Cheers- Marty in Ontario

I would definately bring your car back. It will hold its value down here. Before you bring it over, do as many modifications as you can because they are a lot cheaper in Canada than they are in Australia.
Get yourself a shipping quote. I would recommend shipping from LA or San Fran like I did.
Conversion prices can vary. I would use CrossOver or Mustang Australia. Give them a call for a conversion quote.

Ozpony what mods do you suggest before shipping? are you referring to performance mods or necessary mods for registration compliance in Aus?
Performance modifications
Your conversion, registration and compliance are all covered down here. Parts from the US cost a lot of money to bring in so I was just saying to do your modifications while it is cheap !

Re performance mods, I was considering adding a blower last summer and a few suspension mods... but probably will now leave her stock if I import, mainly due to it being a rare car and wanting it to retain max investment value which it would do better as a stocker I reckon.... that said I would still like to possibly do a few simple mods that could be removed easily if need be at anytime ie add wheel spacers and maybe a less restrictive exhaust system and lower ratio diff gear, thats about it! as she performs just fine as is for me anyway... Heres a pic of my Bullitt
Nice looking car. If you want a super charger then get one before you import it. It will actually add value, not reduce it. After all, once its converted to RHD it ain't no stocker ! Anyway, you could always sell the blower down here for a profit if you decide later you dont want it ???
