Default Vortech blowers

I am considering getting a Vortech V-2 SQ blower for my 01 GT before importing car downunder... just curious if anyone is running a Vortech setup on their late model stang in Australia and are there any issues with compliance and RTA emmission regs or even worries with reliabilty at likely higher operating temps we have in Oz.....

Cheers- Marty

There are a few blown Holden and Fords getting around down here. As for emmissions, you will be fine so long as it complies with US standards and emmissions laws. You are going to have a few problems getting parts but that is pretty standard with anything Mustang. Getting it on a dyno for a tune could also prove tricky as not many people have the software to hook up to US cars.

There are many people down here with good knowledge so the added power of the blower will far out weigh any initial problems you may have. Besides, I hope to have mine blown next year

Great to hear emissions will not be a problem, my car meets Canadian standards. Who sells/services Vortech blowers in Australia? just wondering what the customer support will be like for Vortech in Oz... I was thinking also of ATI Procharger, but from most reports Vortech seem to be more popular with stang owners...wondering whinch blower manufacturer has the better reputation and customer support and service in Australia also?

Customer support and service down here ! I think Capa services them but I doubt your warranty would cover you in Oz. http://www.capa.com.au/main.htm
