Default V10 Mustang

What more can I say ??? My mechanic, Herrod Motorsport, built this little baby for Ford Australia.

Check out the photo's I took of it on the weekend and read the Article below.
....and Yes. I went for a ride in it

Article from Street Machine

Australian-engineered, supercharged, V10-engined Mustang convertible. Ford’s high-glam showstopper was scheduled to make the first of a multitude of public appearances on the burnout track at Summernats. Sadly, it just didn’t happen.

It seems there’s still some development work to do, despite the fact the Mustang was delivered to Broadmeadows on July 25th last year. Ford wasn’t comfortable about putting an untested car on show in front of a crowd of thousands, so it pulled the pin. Imagine the embarrassment if the Mustang shat itself on the start line.

But the blown V10 Mustang wasn’t built merely to burn rubber. Ford’s aim was to build a driveable promotional car that would be equally adept at cutting hot laps around Mount Panorama, glimmering under florescent lights or blowing both bags at Summernats.

The big deal about the Mustang is obviously what’s been stuffed under the bonnet, namely a 6.7-litre V10 sourced from the USA’s F-series truck range and supercharged by Sprintex in WA.

I would love to see that made. There was a Ford dealer in Las Vegas that did that in 1998, it was at the Bright Light City Cruise, a fund raiser for the never done Mustang Museum

Do you have WinZip? If not get it here. It is the most popular program for opening .zip files. As soon as I get home tonight I will host the pictures on my server.

No I don't, I did a search and couldn't find it. The OzMan is going to e-mail it to me though.

Thats quacktastic...

I bet it handles like @$$ though... considering there's probably 60% of the weight on the front wheels...

I don't know. I would have to see more of it. But it is not really getting my attention. It's ok. I like the ghost pony on the side though.

Default super stang!

the mustang is alive and well and im the new owner of that mustang and it is being fully rebuild over the next year! the car was build by ford australia with help from rod harrod and jay upton from sprintex superchargers costing over $200'0000 to build back in 2001 with the best of everything money can buy, there is nothing stock on this car even the shell has had many mod's to it,the suspention front and rear is all of a v8supercar,front a-arms are tube titanium with penski coil overs and billet alloy uprights and 360mil brembo brakes the rear is a titanium 4 link with koni coil overs alloy 35 spline 9 '' full flouter diff, the gearbox was a tremac tko then a powerglide and now its getting a t56 6 speed in it!,the shell has now been fully seam welded and fitted with a 12 poind chrome moly cage aswell, the motor was the best of everything in it and is bullet proof and has made 800hp with 5psi and no intercooler,it now runs 12 psi and a big intercooler. so there you go!feel free to ask anything you like!
