Default Falcon disc brakes

Hi Guys new at this but I was hoping some one may help with the information I need. I have a 64 convertible and what to change to disc brakes. I have been offered a 68 XT Fairmont disc brake system, would this be the same as a mustang setup and does it fit or does it need modifying. Also the XT has a spliter box in the brake line with a warning light set up would this be of advantage to me?
Cheers Coombsy

Exert from the Engineers Report:

"The origional brake master cylinder and booster assemblies are replaced with a ford XB master cylinder and ford cortina vacume booster. The vehicle is fitted with front brake rotors sourced from a ford XY and calipers scorced from a holden HQ the replacement calapers are fitted using origional ford mustang caliper mounting brackets .The origional rear drum brake assemblies are retained."

hope this helps I'm not 100% sure if origional caliper bracket were actually used on mine I've seen some fabricated from steel plate I'll have a look.

Hey thanks for that we have certification over here that means you have to use manufactures parts only we are unable to make our own brackets on things like brakes or we are refused a warrant of fitness. I will pull the XT brakes apart and see if it lines up with Mustang stuff. Is you XB marster cylinder small enough to fit on the bulk head? At least with your set up parts (brake shoes) would be readily available.
