Try this site for an idea on a lhd to rhd conversion etc they should be able to let you know what it would be worth http: //www.mustangsofmelbourne.com.au/.
And this one will let you know what the codes mean and all the details on where the car came from build date etc.http: //www.justmustangs.com.au
I just bought a 65 coupe LHD and I have found it easy to drive in Aus and leaving it LHD it doesnt limit me to where I can sell it if I decide to... it can still go world wide.
hope this helped ..........Ted

Russel (Just Mustangs) & Steve (Mustangs of Melbourne) both do conversions and will give you a Quote they both have reputations for good work however there many others so it may pay to shop around but ask to see examples of their work and names of some customers you could contact .

Just mustang has a heap of info on their website
