Default I have a few questions...

I have a question... or 5 lol...

Would it be wiser (by cost etc) to purchase a mustang here in Australia than to purchase one in the States? (say a '65 - '69 or mayeb a later one like and '05 or '06).

and also,
If I were to buy a mustang of some sort over in the states, how much would I be looking at to get it converted and shipped over?

If i get it converted here, how much would I be looking at (cost wise)?

Would it be better to get it converted overseas to RHD, than to get it converted here, given the exchange rate etc. Or am I better off keeping business here in Australia (car purchase and conversion- saves on any exchange rate problems, and shipping fee, but adds because of the rarity of mustangs here?)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Cass.

One of the magazines had a feature on an Aussie who converted a 94-98 Mustang. It was yellow. Maybe someone else here remembers the feature and the costs he paid.

Babii, try sending a PM to OZPony. He had one shipped to Australia and converted to right-hand drive. He may have some info that can help you out.

It may be a few days before you hear back from him. He's super busy these days, but I'd bet he has a few of the answers you need.

you ask the big ones

the short answer $5 -$7k to convert early model more for later $3k for shipping add import tax /gst etc if aplicable

Id look around the local market first at least you can see what your paying for.

I'd try checking out the mustang owners club http://nsw.mustang.org.au/ I know there are a couple of mustang specialists in Sydney but have no details
