Top side of head.

I originally spent big $$ on heads as to get reliability.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you if the scuff marks are not too deep you might be lucky.
The big question is why did the smallend lock up on the gudion pin could it be lack of lubrication? When you figger it out let the rest of us know we might learn something .

Here is how I solved the problem of creaking garage beams a 4" X 3" prop in the centre halved the efective span from 20 ' to 10 ' see photo

Your not really supose to Fastback... There are some industrial areas that you can live in, but they are "Cross Zoned" as Residential/Commercial.

AS I understand it they can't stop you but you would be a non conforming land use.OR in other words dont complain about noise, oders,or other things associated with commercial activity. Some years ago I lived in an industrial aera of Richmond I dont imagine things have changed too much since the late 1980's.

Thanx for the info krakieone. Either way i will be buying this place it seems a good investment as well as residence.

OK ive dropped off the block to the machine shop. Saleeba Engine service in Springvale(Glen) who is confident the bore will clean up. At the same time im getting all the other piston sizes checked, casting cleaned up in the valley im not happy with, acid dipped and new cam bearings.

The problem was cauesd from overheating, the gudgeon is now tight due to material from piston getting in. I also dropped off the heads to Head Stud developments in Moorabbin for a check and clean. Dropped the sump and other little peices to get zinc plated Vinneys plating in Dandenong( you know that goldy brass look) which will only cost $50 and the extractors will be picked up on weds by a courier and sent to HPC in Leongatha for coating $341 plus 11 freight each way

Im hoping to start assembly this weekend.

And all this running around today was acheived due to RDOs (you gotta lovem).
