What to make sure of is that the oil system is still working, the fuel system isn't clogged up, and the compression is still above 130 psi. Pull the plugs, check the cap and rotor, rubber hoses for any dry rot, and be wary of any fuel that is still in the tank. Gas has a shelf life and anything in there is probably gone sour. You might should prime the oil pump before starting and that way it won't be such a dry start.
