Default 2010 Intake/Tuner Packages now available!

Although we have been tuning 2010's since April, several suppliers have just released their 2010 intakes. We currently carry 2 versions of the JLT intake and a C&L similar to the racer.

By far the #1 first modification for your 05+ Mustang is one of our aftermarket air intake and custom Brenspeed tune packages. No matter which air intake package you choose all of them feature a custom Brenspeed tuned SCT X3. Our custom tunes will give you the fastest throttle response possible, increased HP, the maximum torque possible at lower RPM’s, and often improved MPG. Brenspeed’s custom tunes are a far cry from your basic aftermarket tune. We have years of experience and R&D invested into our tunes to give you more benefits than just a peak HP gain on the dyno. With multiple modifications performed to many parameters within the torque management, adaptive learning, and drive by wire tables it is common to reduce quarter mile ET’s by as much as a half second.

All of our packages include one custom tune developed for your Mustang and then that tune modified for 3 various octane fuels. This way you can run regular unleaded fuel if you desire or to take full advantage of your package by running premium fuel. The SCT X3 will store the factory tune so you can return the vehicle to stock at any time.

After you order our sales department will e-mail you to find out about your current modifications if any, your Mustang in general, and other information so we can develop your custom tunes. The custom tunes will then be loaded on your SCT X3 so all you will have to do when it arrives is plug it in and allow the custom tunes to load on your Mustangs PCM. It is that easy!

  • Full User adjustability so if you so choose you can adjust idle, axle gear ratio, tire revolutions per mile, rev limiter, automatic trans shift points, spark, and air fuel. Your custom tune will not require any of these changes. We install the features on the programmer as some customers like access to them.

    Expedite Option: Typically all custom tuning orders are built in the order received. We understand that our customers sometimes have to be to a race, car show, or just want it fast. Because of time sensitive events we offer expedited custom tuning for an extra charge of $49. We will build your custom tune outside of normal business hours in order to give you a one business day turn around. Your tune will still ship free of charge via UPS ground. If you choose this option please contact our sales department as soon as possible to provide us important tuning information.

    Emissions:Use the drop down box above to choose if you want your rear O2 sensors left on. You need to have the rear O2 sensors left on to pass an OBDII emissions test. If you run off road exhaust without cats on an off road vehicle or race car you will want your rear O2 sensors turned off.

    We keep your custom tune on file so if you ever purchase more performance parts from Brenspeed you can request your current tune be modified free of charge. The free tune revisions are for new parts purchased from Brenspeed. We stock a wide variety of parts that are Brenspeed tuning approved. With a wide variety of parts on the market that are not tune friendly we suggest you speak with our technical sales team before you invest in headers, nitrous, superchargers, turbo’s, throttle body’s, and camshafts.

That was our initial thought as well but after testing the JLT intakes, the 110mm housing worked out extremely well. Just spit balling here but it may reduce turbulence in the air creating a smoother dispersion in the manifold. Or they just wanted to beat the Racer this time.
