Question Any MCA members have problem with the 75% increase in yearly fee?

Hi, looking for if there are any other MCA members that have a problem with the 75% increase in our yearly fee?

A recent 75% increase on Canadian dues to $70 US is quite large. US members also got an increase, but it is 33%, also big but nothing like the Canadian increase.

A reply from Mary Jean Wesche of the MCA was;

"When the postal regulations changed about one year ago, it was costing $4.00 per copy to mail Mustang Times to members in Canada and overseas. The MCA paid those charges for several months. During that time I made an effort to find a way to send the magazine to Canada and overseas at a reduced rate without sacrificing delivery. Personally, I felt the $4.00 per piece per month was unacceptable. The company we did find could reduce the cost to $30 per year instead of the $48 that was becoming the norm. When the MCA voted to increase the membership fees, they also had to take a hard look at the postage fees for Canada and overseas, which came to $30-plus per membership."

Starting this year the Mustang Times was no longer shipped in a white envelope that protected it from tears and damage during shipping. I did not complain as I figured that was a considerable savings to the shipping cost.
I personally find it difficult to accept a $30 US increase in my yearly MCA fee & have been a member since 2003; the year I bought my Mach 1, membership is due January.

I am currently registered for the Mustang 45th and have a hotel but not sure if I will be making the costly drive there as I may not be renewing my MCA.
If you are an MCA member what are your thoughts?

Thx.
