[86RS]

I have an 86 Mercury Capri RS, that is black above the moulding and either dark grey or dark chacoal below. The paint code is still on the door sticker, it's C1 for the upper part of the car and 71 for the bottom.
I've been to 3 or 4 paint supplier in Moncton but no one knows what color it is! They tell me It"s should be letters, but It"s not. Ford in the U.S. didn't want to help, they told me to call Ford of Canada andthey could't c'come up with anything, they say It"s to old. I really don't know what to do, the car show is coming in 2 week. It's to do some touch up!
Any help or idea would be appreciated!!

All I could find was:

7A - Blue
7B - Shadow Blue
7C - Deep Shadow Blue
7J - Used on trucks only

This is what ford used in '86 but it doesn't specify anything besides the 7J was used for the trucks. Could the 1 in your 71 be a worn off A or B?

Is it even a blue?

Get the Hayes manual. It lists the paint codes in the back I think.
