Default Surrey BC - Soda Blasting?

Hi,

I live in Surrey, BC and I'm restoring a 1967 Mustang. I would like to soda blast the car to remove the bondo and the rust. Are there any soda blasting companies in Surrey, BC?

Thanks!

Default What is soda blasting?

What is soda blasting? I've been talking to some shops around here about media blasting (I live in Surrey) and there seems to be so many options. I'm restoring my old friend, a 69 Cougar big block, and I'm getting confused about what the best approach would be to strip my car. Now I hear about "soda blasting". I can have the car disassembled and blasted separately, but the media blasters can't accomodate the body (shell and rear quarters) What cost are you looking at? Can they shoot a primer on it there?

My friend had just finished restoring his 67GTA 390ci and dipped his hood in acid to remove the paint. it took a long time to shrink the sheet metal and all the support had to be re sealed to the top sheet metal. It never looked the same.....Get it blasted with Walnut Shells. That is the best for restoring. Many professionals use it because it will not pitt the sheetmetal and its destroyed after impact into a fine dust. and then you can just filter it and re-use what you drop
