Hello. The car in the pictures is a 67. This is a scam. Send him an email telling him that you are going to fly down and look at the car, and just give him cash on the spot for the title and the keys and see what he says. That should be the last that you ever hear from him. Hope that helps.

Hi again. Actually, it's very difficult to scam a dumb person, especially if they have that pesky honest streak. In order to get ripped off for a significant chunk of money, you pretty much have to be ready and willing to take advantage of another person. That's why the bait is frequently something brutally under-priced and the scammer tries to play ignorant about the true value. If I'm not interested in taking you, it would be very difficult for you to take me.

Hey guys and dolls,

Thanks for all the advice. I think I will just screw with the guy for a while and see how far I could push him.

That just screams SCAM!!!

The pictures they sent likely came from a past ebay auction. I've seen this happen before, heck there's even a few of these scams on ebay from time to time before they get pulled down. Someone insisting to use Yahoo money is a big red flag! The description and info on the car is a yellow flag.

You can only run a VIN on a 1981 or newer car through the VIN sites, has to be 17 characters. It won't work before hand since every manufacturer had a different VIN layout and number of digits, no standardization. Ford had 11 digits before hand. There was no "Q" in a Mustang VIN until 1969.

The last thing too, most people honestly trying to sell a car will try to work with you (the buyer) especially being out of state, not give you a run around or insist very firmly on certain conditions.

I am screwing with the guy as of this point. I am sending e mails back and forth with him. I am having alot of fun with him. I will lead him on for a while.
Is there any way to report a guy like this and get him caught up in his own scam??
