Default 1871 Boss 302

The photo you have is one that had a rear spoiler. The Boss featured in MM never had a spoiler and is yellow.

I have thought of cloning a boss 351 but a boss 302 might mess with some people lol.

Hard to say what to do here. The car is "one-of-one" with the "H" code and toploader 4-speed that wasn't offered that year. AND, it is the matching motor, as sold.

Yet, the Boss 302 would be the "correct" motor "as built" by Ford. I'd love to have the car as the only 1971 Boss 302 and "the last Boss 302" ever built by Ford.

Hmmmm.....though the trend is to leave an antiquity, or "barn-find" alone. This car does have a lot of original historical "markings" that have not been destroyed. I give up. This is what I'm dealing with.

Its a tough call i have thought of cloning the 71 boss 302 but thats it its a clone i wouldn't be killing a one of one made car.Id clean the car up the best i could and put it in a museum and hang on to it.The price on it can only go up and its rarer then a Shelby or anything else people go after.
