Default Helping resolve a cowl leak problem! fun news!

My cowl leak on my 66 stang was going to be expensive to fix as everyone knows.
Last night I went to grab a 6 pack and saw a lottery scratch off ticket and told the guy to give me one. I rarely play and when it rung up for $20 I was surprised, figuring it at most was a $10 scratch off. He had rung it up so i took it any way. I did not even know that Ga had a $20 scratch off.

Got home and hit TWO $500 numbers! Halfway there on the repair!

I really freaked when i went immediately back and the guy behind the counter (with foreign accent) said I had won a million dollars! People behind were freaking also! He read it wrong, it was a $1000 ticket but for a minute there I had visions of a show quality vehicle

Just fun news that I thought I would share. I put my 10% in the plate today at church.

Congratulations! That is an awesome story... you know, I sympathize with ya, my mothers Buick had a cowl leak and it was horrible to repair... I'll save you our sob story and rejoice that you are on your way to solving your leak!!!

Someone wants that leak fixed fast! lol

Good for you! I used to work at a liquor store and would play those things. I'd win a buck or two and as soon as the next person would come up they'd win 50 or a hundred bucks!

Nothing more fun to taking the windshield out and cutting a 100 some odd spot welds huh.

Default glad to hear you hit the jackpot!

Great luck! I commend your tithe on the winnings
But.............

I am not sure that you are "halfway" there to get someone to do this for you - I would say this would run $2500 - $3000?

If someone selling lottery tickets told me I had just won $1 Million bucks and then changed his mind to make a it a meager $1,000, I am not sure what I would have done.

A couple of days after receiving my money I received my home owners and auto insurance bill. I pay yearly.
Plus they gave me a W2 when i received the money.
I least I was happy a couple of days.

I emailed these guys Mustang Central and was quoted
$1,700.00 for cowl repair.

Why couldn't I have gotten that ticket that the couple in Portal, Ga did who last week won 270 million. They received a check for 164 million cash payout. And they actually think they are going to just buy a house and some land and live peacefully ever after.

There was a couple of "Necks" that won a million dollars on the Florida Lotto here in North Fl. They blew all of that money and are now back to living hand to mouth as they were before. This is a true story and it's a shame that ignorance in handling money led to their situation. It makes me sick to think about how this happened.

if you repair the cowl now or have to wait a bit more time I made a Magnetic rubber cowl cover for my 66 and sell them through my website at classiccowlcover.info they work great. I had a similar story to your except i went to play a number i wrote down after dreaming it , trouble was in florida they call the numbers at 7 instead of at 10 like CT where I grew up , when i went to play it after work around 7.30 the guy at the 7/11 said they just called it . !! so i figure i lost at least 5000. oh well , glad you contributed. congrats again and save that Mustang.
