Default Anyone ever dealt with Dallas Mustang?

Im a little upset with thsi company. I ordered from them over a week and a half ago cause they told me they had all parts in stock and would only take a day and a half to receive my order. Last night i finaly received my package and the main part i was waiting for wasnt there. My upholestry kit for the seats. So i call them and they tell me that it is being drop shipped from the factory itself. now i doubt ill have it ready for the event this weekend. Needless to say im not very impressed and really upset. they sounded like good people on the phone but the service is far from par. Is this the type of service they usually offer? Or did i just have a bad expierence? As of now they will not be receiving one penny more from me.

I have used them once, and called them several times. all i needed was a fuel pump, and the gave me suggestions as to which pump i would need and so on. they seemed good, i am in sales myself and what they did was over promise and under deliver. it happens, it sucks but it does happen. they should have done a little more checking on the product before saying it would only be a day or two. that is what i think from my time doing truck accessory sales. sorry about your crappy experience

Default I don't know that you could have seats redone this weekend anyway...

Clayton -
I you have not recovered seats like these before, I doubt that you could have them ready for this weekend anyway - that is a pretty tall order.
I have spent two or three days on a single seat.

I wouldnt be doing them myself. I know where my limits are and thats one of them. Found a guy in town, seen some of his work and its pretty nice stuff. Can have it done in 2 days.

Aw shoot Clay you can do it! All ya need is a pair of hogring pliers and a twelve pack.( I was going to suggest a six but a twelve soothes the nerves better) Actually I recall it to be more like "seat wrestling" than seat upholstery.

I admit it is something id love to try to tackle. And i will be tackling it soon enough on my mutt when i get her. plus with me working at a dealership i dont exactly have the time to try to tackle hers for this weekend. but when i do mine ill definately have a few nerve soothers, to the tune of Gentlemans jack and a splash of disarono. We have an aftermarket leather upfitting company that comes to the dealership and installs leather packages on some of our units and i been out there watching them and it dont seem too bad. But i know if i was to get under there and pull those seats id get to thinking......well the seats are out, lets repalce the brackets with some chrome ones, well repalcing the brackets, lets replace the rails, well went that far might as well replace the handle..........and you know where it goes from there, id be pulling the carpet, laying dyna-mat, new undercarpet pad, all new bolts, new seat belts.............well you know what i mean.

Ok, this is getting down right annoying. I ordered those seat kits 2 weeks ago. Im wondering if they are growing the calf to skin for the leather or if they are reading this and getting a laugh out of it.

I have dealt with them a few years ago and never had any issues then.Hopefully it was just a fluke.Sorry to hear of your bad experience.
