Default Coupe to Fastback conversion?

I was reading a few days ago about coupe to fastback conversions and was wondering if anyone has done this or know anyone who has done this. I know it will probaby be expensive and I KNOW IT WONT BE ORIGINAL but i dont care the car is already not original.

Last time i added up the money and me doing it it was around 8 grand to buy a coupe and put the fastback parts on it.but i can get a true fastback for that but have to fix the rust on it.Unless you can weld and have done something like this your looking about 8 grand to 12 grand parts and labor to have it done.

On ebay right now there is a 66 coupe that comes with the fast back roof with all the glass for $1900 which is a hell of a deal The car itself needs a full restoration ,but, if you want a fast back and dont care about the matching numbers this is your ticket in

Its very hard to give an exact price with out acually checking the car out.
Usually we charge $60 an hour, plus what ever material we would need.
Im thinking about 5 to 8 thousand to get the roof on and loooking perfect and at least get it all primed. It would be great if you were within 250 miles of CT because we offer pick up and delivery options, plus we could give you a far better quote with seeing the car. Check out our site.

See its not cheap and spending that much you can buy a fastback for it fix a little rust and come out with a real fastback that will keep going up in value.
