Default 1990 Lincoln TC 5.0 swap to a 1971 Mustang any advise?

Hey to everyone. I am new to the forum. I have a 1971 Mustang Convertible with an I6 and a 3 speed manual. I also have a 1990 Lincoln Town Car with a 5.0 and AOD automatic. I would like to pull the 5.0 and put it into the Mustang. I would also like to change over the automatic to a t-5 transmission. The 5.0 should bolt in with a new oil pan and oil pickup. The question is with the transmission. I think I will need a new computer, but can I use the old wiring harness? What kind of bell housing and clutch and flywheel will be needed?
The goals are reliability, better low-end response, and good drivability. Not going racing but I would like to hear a healthy motor.
Oh yea, the Lincoln intake points the opposite direction from the mustang. Any takes on that?
Thanks for any advise.

The wiring harness and ecu you can reuse on the tranny the normal bell housing and clutch from a fox body should work. You'll a t5 cross member most mustang part houses sell them.Wonder if you can just swap the upper intake to get the intake pointing the other way.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the Hi and Howdies,
The intake may work better pointed the other direction. I wanted to hook up the A/C, being that this is Houston Texas. Even with the top down having A/C is cool. Ha.

As long as the car has the ac system in it if not you'll have to add it and maybe change the compressor too but its not that hard.
