Default what was the original transmission?

on a 1965 6 cylinder coupe, what was the transmission that came on the car ? c4? c6?

Hello. If the car came with an automatic it would have been a C4.

i need to get the modulator valve and i wasn't sure about it.

and yes it was/is an automatic!

Hi again. I'm glad that I could help you out on that. The C4 that the 6cyl cars came with was different from the V8 cars in some ways, but it was the same modulator.

Yes c4 the c6 was big block and Cleveland or modified series.

Hi again. It is a very simple matter to replace it. It's outside of the transmission. You just pull the vacuum line off of the old one, unscrew the old one and screw the new one in. Nothing to it.
