Default 1972 Vert speaker placement ,without using door panels ? Ideas

I don't want to touch the new door panels ,so I am thinking the rear backseat quarters (that are new too) and the kick panels ,but I think that I would need very low profile speakers for both (specially the kick panels ) since there is not alot of room behind them ! Thanx for any ideas that you may give me .

I'm thinking the same, I think I'am going with 2 speakers in the dash (mustangsunlimited) & two 6"x 9" in the rear. I'd like to keep it looking as stock as possible. Don't use you kick panels, check out some of the after stuff, they have a 2 speaker system that mounts in the center of your dash, NO MODS.
GOOD LUCK

Default It depends

How many watts are you planning on pumping through them?
The dash speakers won't handle very much.
You can get some decent speakers built into the kick panels from most Mustang parts houses.

Otherwise, I would suggest some small "tweeter" type speakers underneath the dash panel - you would be surprised how good they sound - a lot of them are only 1" or so in diameter.
Something like this -
