Default 1966 Mustang Driveshaft change

I am installing an AOD transmission with the 302 I just purchased. I also just got a 9 inch rear end that I am planning on putting either 3.5 or 3.7 gears into. What length of driveshaft do I need to use? I found several on MustangsPlus but I'm unsure of how to determine the right length. What are they measuring. Help, Please!

Too many variables for someone to give you an accurate number. Install engine and trans, then measure for the new drive shaft.

BTW, unless that 302 is a real monster, 9" rear is too heavy and takes too much hp to run. You're much better of with a well built 8".

I spoke with a guy on the phone from another link that I was given on here that said they were really good with rear ends and this guy even told me that I needed to put in a 9 inch. Im pushing 331 hp before any upgrades to the motor.
