Red face need help on 1968 mustang colors

Hey...

So my mom finally gave me the keys to the 68' stang coupe.
1 problem though....she needs some paint. Right now it is a dark blue color with the white "c" stripe down the body. What i need help on is..
Should i leave the "c" stripe and just paint the car??
Should i paint the car just one solid color {as in no stripe}???
Or should i paint the car, leave the "c" and put racing stripes on it???

I cant decide!!! What do you guys think??
The colors i had in my head are....

Black with gold stripes of some kind or white?
high gloss blue color with white stripes?
Brown?
stone green with black racing stripes??

Idk i cant decide. let me know what you guys think. im open to suggestions.

By the way im a newbie here.

I've always been particularly partial to the blue w/ white stripes. I'd stick with what you have, especially if it's original. But that's just me.

I agree with chainsaw about the blue w/stripes. You, however will be driving the car.

If it has the C-Stripe, it may have a "Sprint" package that was available to the 67 and 68's. I would leave the C-stripe if it were me. I have a 68 Sprint and I left my C-stripe for the originality of it. But like the others said, ultimately you have to drive it! Good luck

A Marti report would be your best bet. It will tell you exactly the way the car came from the factory.

The C stripe could have been added by the dealer or earlier in the car's life.

I have a list somewhere of what the Spint packages added to the car, there was two different packages, Sprint A and B. Essentially I can tell you they were cosmetic only and gave the car the look of a GT without the performance upgrades.

Hopefully a 1969 convertible or Sportsroof (non Mach or Boss) for next Mustang project

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.

I say leave the c-stripes, but mine is blue w/ white racing stripes (sort of, hood needs to be painted) and it looks pretty cool, check my pics if u want

I would say blue with the C stripe as well. It will look nice, and stay original.
