Default 1966 Mustang. Want to swap engine from 200 to 351

i have an all original 66 mustang. it is a 1 owner car. i was wondering if someone could give me their opinion. should i replace the original 200 with a 351 or should i keep it original and leave the 200 in it. if i put the 200 in it all numbers will match.

Its a lot of work and money to get a v8 in a inline6 car safely you have to change out the front springs spindles brakes hubs steering linkage to the v8 ones. Also rear end radiator motor mounts and brackets some wiring and plumbing.

V8 Mustangs are as common as dirt. A nice I6 catches my attention.

Keep the 200 and have fun. There are a few other threads here right now that have good links to some nice resources for beefing up the sixes. Browse those for a start. I'll never get rid of my little 200 but as money allows I will be "playing" with it a bit. They are just solid little engines and it's nice to have a lighter front end with them.
