Shommel, although I have not personally installed one, I am familiar with the basic process. It can be done by you depending on your mechanical abilities. If you have a/c, you will have to mount the Paxton on the battery side. This means your battery usually ends up in the trunk. With a carbureted engine, the Paxton kit will come with a "box" that encloses the carb in order to pressurize the charge of air to the engine. Your "A" code will work, but you should check with Paxton to see what carb they recommend, I believe it's a Holley 600 with mechanical secondaries. Expect about 40% increase in power. |
